It all started on a summer day in 2020. Gedde came into The Home Depot where Laura was working at the time to pick out a paint color for his mom's exterior door. Gedde started commenting on Laura's water bottle stickers and they hit it off right away with tentative plans of a kayak trip.

Next thing you know, Gedde left with Laura's phone number written on the paint color chip called Morocco Red. Gedde asked Laura out to the local Mexican restaurant after her shift that day and the rest is history.

P.S. They have gone on many kayak trips since and Gedde is no longer Laura's customer.
